This second flush Darjeeling is a robust, layered tea with floral hints of rose, fruity hints of muscat grapes and flavor notes of molasses and hazelnut. It was plucked in the last week of May 2016 in the Marmah division of Balasun Estate. It's complexity may be due to the clonal "Himalayan Musk" bushes that it is produced from, which make up only 10% of the bushes on the Balasun Estate, where this tea was grown and produced. We cupped dozens of second flush lots before settling on this one.
